Today I have one of my favourite cookies recipe for you:
World Peace Cookies
Dorie Greenspan named them “World peace Cookies” :
“A daily dose of these cookies is all that is needed to ensure planetary peace and happiness.”
Here is the recipe:
160 g flour
30 g cocoa
1/2 tsp. natron
160 g butter
200 g brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Fleur de sel
1 tsp. vanilla sugar, self made
140 g dark chocolate minced
Put together cacao, natron and flour.
Stir butter, sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until it gets very creamy. Add the flour-cocoa-mixture and the minced chocolate until there is a homogenous mass. Take the dough and make two rolls out of it, roll it into alufoil and put it in the fridge for 3 hours.
Preheat the oven to 160°C and put baking paper on a tray. Cut the roll in slices of 1/2 cm – in case they break, just squeeze them back together with your fingers, and put them on the baking tray.
Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes. Take them out, let them cool off a little bit, and then enjoy!
