As you already noticed, this year above all I want to inspire you, no matter if this inspiration comes through stories, gift ideas, doing something good for yourself, or new recipes to try out.
In the same time I wanted to present you people, that became very special to my heart, and just great at what they do!
You already met a few of them… today I want to share something of Beate …. her favorite recipe. Beate knows everything regarding health and balanced diet – actually I should meet with her more often 😉
Anywany, she is nutritionist and foodfinder with shop – that’s how she calls herself 🙂 She also offers cooking classes and sells exquisit products, like oils, vinegar, salt and pepper, and all kinds of kitchen gadgets…
Everytime I visit her – as a passionist chef – I could spent hours in her shop. You can find her in Tiefenbronn-Lehningen, in case you want to get to know her.
And here’s her recipe: Indian-styled green beans
Ingredients for 4 persons:
- 1 kg of green beans
- 200 g potatoes
- best salt
- 60 g raisins
- 2 onions, medium-scale
- 1 EL Bio-olive oil
- 2 EL Curry powder
- ¼ l vegetable stock
- 300 g Joghurt
- 2 TL Bio-potato-flour
- fresh grounded black pepper
All ingredients should be from regional farmers or bio-food-shops.
Wash the green beans, and cut them diagonally in slices of 1,5 – 2 cm. Wash the potatoes, peal them, and cut them into small cubes. Cook the bean cuts and the potato cubes in a little salt water for 15 minutes. Meanwhile wash the raisins and soak them in warm water.
For the sauce you have to cut the onion into small pieces. Heat up the oil gently in a large pot, and stew the onion (on gentle heat). Add the curry powder, and after a few minutes add the stock.
Stir the yogurt with the potato-flour until smooth and add it to the onions. Then drain the raisins and add them. The raisin-curry sauce needs to cook gently for another 5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Now drain the potatoes and the beans, but keep the boiling water for the sauce. And then add them immediately to the curry sauce. Add curry and salt to taste, add some of the boiled water if the sauce is not liquid enough.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
